Large round pan for professional use.
The cast iron grill pan from the SPICA collection has exceptional performance. The cast iron grill pan from the SPICA collection performs at exceptional levels. The striped grill pans have been designed with dual functionality: sear the “signature” grill marks into meat and vegetables; reduce the contact between the cooking surface and the food to facilitate the separation of liquids and fats. The nature of the cast iron and its thickness allows the grill pan to accumulate and retain heat up to 12 times better than other materials and is extraordinarily effective at transferring the heat to the food.
Grill any type of food on this large grill pan, especially pork or lamb ribs, and leave perfect visible grill marks on the food. Designed for professional chefs, butchers, grill enthusiasts and barbecue lovers.
The natural cast iron grill pan with the two handles is versatile and can be used on any cooktop.
The round striped grill pan in natural cast iron is free from enamels, PFOA, PTFE or PFAS for a natural contact between the food and iron, the basic element of life; enhancing the authentic taste of food.
The temperature difference between the centre and edges of the pot are minimal. A consistent temperature over the entire cooking surface allows you to perfectly brown vegetables and meats; enhancing their colour and taste like no other cookware can.
It is, therefore, ideal for those who want to obtain the perfect Maillard reaction. The grill pan can easily reach temperatures above 450°C, allowing you to cook ribs, fillets, steaks, burgers and vegetables perfectly and quickly, without the loss of juices.
The striped lines accumulate a greater amount of heat in comparison to the bottom part of the pan, and it is significantly spaced to facilitate the expulsion of liquids. The bottom of the pan has a slight convex pushing the liquids toward the edges. This avoids the “boiling” effect on the food that is common with other materials.
