What does cauliflower have to do with pizza? If you’ve never tried “cauliflower pizza”, you won’t understand what a great alternative to real pizza it is!
Are you looking for a quick, gluten-free and complete meal? Are you trying to get your child to eat cauliflower but can’t? Are you on a strict diet but fancy a pizza?
Here’s a real one-dish meal that can be super tasty if you add some vegetables and a few slices of your favourite salami. So, what are you waiting for? Have fun with me by re-proposing this recipe on Ghisanativa.
Ingredients
- 1 kg cauliflower
- 30 g rice flour (or almond flour for a more rustic, low-carb taste)
- 50 g Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 2 egg whites or 1 whole egg
- Salt
- Tomato/ mozzarella and your favourite toppings
Preparation methodology
Wash the cauliflower, cut it into florets and blend it in a blender with rotating blades until it becomes grainy. It should look like couscous.
Put everything in a bowl and add the egg, flour, Parmesan cheese and salt, mix well and transfer to a grill pan lined with baking paper, spreading it out well and leaving the edges a little thicker.
Cook in the oven at 200°C for 20 minutes, then remove the Ghisanativa grill pan from the oven and add tomatoes, mozzarella and your favourite toppings and put it back in the oven for another 10-15 minutes.
Leave to cool slightly before serving.
Tips for use:
The dough comes out a bit sticky. So I used baking paper to make it easier to take the pizza out of the oven. But I don’t normally use baking paper with Ghisanativa.
